  • Effective Reading
  • Memory Techniques
  • Test Taking Strategies
  • Managing Text Anxiety
  • Organization and Time Management

A little about Sarah's qualifications. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was a classroom teacher for six years and has tutored professionally for 12 years. She's taught study skills to students from elementary age to adult. After teaching study skills for a few different tutoring companies and watching students in the classroom, she developed a set of strategies and skills that are the most effective and important for students in high school and college.

Sara's philosophy on preschool

"Because preschool is a child's first school experience, it shapes how a child views learning and themselves as a student. This makes the preschool experience crucial. Preschool's first and most important goal should be to teach a child the joy of learning. This happens easily when the experience is structured to meet a child's developmental needs. To do this, a preschool day should be filled with play! A preschool child needs to develop fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and learn about the world around him. Academics should be presented through music, movement, and tactile experiences."
